What is the impact to our environment to build solar panels, transport them, install them, and maintain them?

I just had my downstairs basement (rec room + bedroom) drywalled 750 sqft 37 panels. the price came to be $1700 all in, hung, mud, materials, left ready to paint. curious if this $45 a sheet is decent price in the Milwaukee, Chicago area or even in general. 

-Change all of your switches, outlets, fixtures, and make sure your panel is pristine.

Do Solar panels for the Climate controlled.

You could do a solar panel for lights but not a workroom and I am not sure I would want one anyway.
