Hi BP - My name is Chris and I am a national sales manager for a midsize company in the transportation industry. 

There is an enclosed space in the rear of the home which was permitted for a screen porch.  

I'm thinking transport fees would run about $2k. 

AS long as property has good access to public transportation like light rail.

I have never bought a car since and use public transportation or Lyft.

I require reliable transportation for work, and also it gives me the ability to put my boat in and out of the water so its not something id like to sell or sacrifice at this time.  

New Jersey has become a very Location oriented State, you have your communities, schools and taxes to concern yourself with and as always Location, Location & Location.As an investor and or House Hacker, the key is Transportation, Transportation and More Transportation.

NWI is receiving MASSIVE amounts of funding from the State (check it out here: http://www.rdatransformation.com/) to boost the economy and enhance public transportation to/from Chicago. 

There is already good public transport to that immediate area but not everyone can use it for commuting.

@Joshua Muniz I like areas north of downtown and in areas with cta or metra transportation within walking distance.
