Seattle House Hack 2-4 Unit
Hi!
Looking for a 2-4 unit to house hack in Seattle, WA! Ideally close to light rail for easy commute downtown. Please let me know if you know of any opportunities!
Alternatively please feel free to share if you have recently acquired a house hack property! :)
Thanks!
Marty

Congrats on your successes thus far!" Just checked out your profile and saw that you already own rentals across the country and in Germany.
We're seeing a lot of good values in Hillman City (between Columbia City and Othello stations) where the Graham street infill station will eventually be built. Within you price range you could definitely house hack a single family with a mother in law / ADU unit, but you'll have a hard time finding a multifamily bigger than a small duplex in Seattle proper. South of the city you should have some options, but probably more duplexes than four-plexes unless you're willing to take on a bit of a fixer.
Are you house hacking "by the room", or "by the unit"? We've done four consecutive house hacks, 2 in Beacon Hill, 1 in Judkins Park, and 1 in Ravenna, and have gone both by the room and by the unit but definitely prefer the latter.
I'll keep my eyes peeled. In addition to whats on the MLS, our team gets about 2-3 off market opportunities a week. We flip some, and wholesale the rest.
