I am finding that you have to be careful with the properties that are on Craigslist.  2 of the properties I found, the sellers of the properties were not the sellers and they suddenly disappeared (off the face of this earth) when we went to see the properties.  

I spent years part time in this business because I made so much money at it..I would just disappear and travel for 6 months.

I prefer using LOCs as I can pay them off and still have access to the funds instead of paying a mortgage and having the money disappear.

It does not disappear once you pass a certain threshold of equity as I understand it does in the US.

I would say for 12 months they don't find subleasers for the summer,  the boston' students I understand from friends just disappear.
