What is to stop the wholesaler from creating two sets of identical trust documents and selling them to two different end-buyers, thus screwing one or both of them.If nothing is filed with the state, how do the end-buyer know that he is the "real" owner of the trust, as opposed to someone else?

The company I use for credit checks was adamant:  The LL is responsible for verifying the identity of the applicant.
