Excel can certainly do a lot more but that's getting into complex functions and macro features that I just don't need for what I'm doing.If you prefer Microsoft products, OneDrive is also a solid Cloud Storage solution and of course Microsoft Office is rock-solid...just expensive.But far more important than tools, are your systems.

Ideally she needs an android or ios app with cloud sync to desktop that would allow her to enter her daily expenses and also register contacts, appointments, register by value potentials, register confirmed deals with expected pay out dates and therefore be able to run reports and track her expected payouts against the dreaded known expenses (rent, mortgage, medical etc).
