All interesting questions Joe, but they obscure the reality of the situation: the probability and severity of an event that causes loss of life limb or eyesight in REI is orders of magnitude lower in RE than in medicine, never mind open heart surgery. 

Some people I've encountered over the phone and elsewhere, perhaps agitated at having to wait in line at the supermarket, have this bloated idea of self-importance that obscures their thinking, deluding them into believing that they are something other than a human among other humans; no better, no worse, no greater nor less than.

If you make a mistake and tell just one state on an obscure document your anonymity is toast.

I'm in Orlando and that appears to be where you are thinking. purchasing a home to only use a few months can be challenging, plenty of people do it, but there are some things to consider.If you are planning to buy in a 55+ community, you won't be able to STR it almost 100% of the time unless it is some obscure place.
