Plenty of great things going on....like Oracle HDQ move to Houston, Tesla in Austin, Several Billion $ worth of chip plants around Sherman, basically new WF HDQ in Irving, Schwab HDQ in Southlake, State Farm and Liberty Mutual insurance in/around Richardson.

With the I-40/75 split we have here there is a lot of manufacturing and shipping in and out of the area, with Oak Ridge we have a lot of technology in the area, and of course being the base for UT we have a lot of students and family moving to the area.

@Enrique Saucedo, I did a substantial amount of remodeling on all of the units.The first 7 units, in Mountain View had essentially the same level of work: New flooring, new oak kitchen cabinets, new granite counter tops, new appliances, new toilets, new tile, grounding of electrical outlets, sheet rock, paint, new fixtures.

But because Houston has no zoning laws, just 6-8 miles south of that you have very desirable housing of the Garden Oaks and Heights neighborhoods.

I know a lot of others that played the other side of the highway in garden oaks and did well.
