I rent where I live and own rentals where it makes sense.Grant cardone is a flashy and sometimes over the top person but the one thing he says that I agree with is rent where you live and rent to others where they live.

Many people need the flashy stuff for social approval or something I've never understood.  

I would trust those CEOs.Now, you can fault ETFs and Mutual funds for not being sexy or flashy.  

Now that we're in the age of instagram and facebook and twitter, millenials want to be flashy and show off their awesome new modern apartment with manhattan views but what happens when the'yre stuck in these apartments with crippling student debt and subpar office jobs. 

We just aren't flashy and being frugal has been a way of life forever.One thing that helped not feel like such a hypocrite is to have a bumper sticker made that says 'NO PAYMENTS!' 

Savvy and well heeled investors can see through these youtube gimmicks of flashy cars, rented jets etc.

As soon as I started investing in real estate, I sold any new flashy vehicle I had(Jeep Wrangler). 

Being that I am not a flashy person myself (I don't even wear a watch, and rarely a collared shirt)... there aren't too many people I can talk about my successes with for the fear of sounding like a braggart.

Yes Flash is terrible but it is unfortunately pervasive. 

Other than that, nothing flashy or dumb.
