New mortgage accounts (or any new account) may temporarily lower your score, but they should bounce back after you establish some payment history. 

They were very hard to reach, with my calls getting bounced all over the country, and the explanations for why we were delayed changing sometimes daily.

Just because they pass your screening doesn't mean their check won't bounce.

It is .5 mile down from our previous primary, allowing us to bounce from property to property based on the season as one is best for summer and the other best for winter due to road access.
