Frustrations with Xome?
Back in February of 2016, I bid on and won a Xome auction. Per the terms of their contract, we were to close within 20 days. I went with the title company they recommended (Title365), and... the closing date came and went. They were very hard to reach, with my calls getting bounced all over the country, and the explanations for why we were delayed changing sometimes daily. Eventually, we actually did close 60 days after the auction. This was a cash purchase, and they assured me they would mail the deed within a couple of weeks of closing, but that didn't happen despite several calls. Well, here we are over a year since I won the auction, and guess what finally arrived in the mail yesterday? That's right, the deed to my property just arrived ten and a half months after I bought the place. Needless to say, that wouldn't exactly work if I were planning to flip it. And also needless to say, I have learned to steer clear of Xome and Title365. I am wondering though, what have the experiences of others here been with Xome or similar outfits (e.g., Auction.com or others)?
