Pittsfield (one of our favorite cities as a service town to the berkshires with good restaurants and infrastructure from the GE days) just opened a co-working space, as did North Adams and others "japanification of america"--quality of middle-class corporate life is eroding just as cities are becoming wealthier, leading to longer 1.5-2 hr commutes as standardf--as a result, these areas are becoming more competitive.
