Hi, I'm looking into renting my current house that was built in 1900.I know that a lot of the woodwork that is still there was stained first but was then repainted over the years many times. 

I am doing a rehab job (rental), and I need NEW doors/trim.  The floors will be hardwood (after, carpet removal) throughout MAIN floor of home (including bedrooms).....What is the TREND for today, and beyond (short......

You can have really high end looks and finishes that are mid-commercial grade durability.You have pets... get the planks you won't have to worry about stains or wear.

Just staining the cabin alone is like 12-15k.

The smoke will stain walls worse than cigarettes.

But I did all new appliances, granite countertops everywhere, stained cement flooring, new doors, electrical box, recessed lighting, big backyard shed, gutters, paver patio etc...you get the idea

just my add to the story, when we bought a house(wa state) the brand new roof was a big deal for us and we were super happy to dont worry about it for at least 10-15 years and now we dont know what to do because even after spraying the mold you still gonna be able to see the stains on and it will come up on a inspection when we try to sell the house.

I was surprised at my first closing on a multi family, the seller who I knew held a portfolio of dozens of paid off properties showed up in a sweat stained grey V-neck T-shirt and cut off jean shorts.
