I've been browsing for quite some time and BP has always been a quality resource.Just a little more information of what is brought to the table.Out of us three, one is a tax lawyer, the other has a doctorate in city planning and I take care of management/renovations, so we know a little a bit about what were doing, though were still pretty green.Our Uncle is a stock market investor so he's looking to get slightly more than 8% on his money.

Venice is very hot and desirable area = good tenants ( google engineers, doctors, etc. who want the beach life)= less turn over and less crap to deal with.

I'm thinking to rent to young professions/doctors/nurses for stable positive cash flow. 

Just like doctors, lawyers, and police officers, there are great ones, and there are inexperienced ones.

The owner is a Doctor and has moved to Costa Rica and is looking to unload his Dalls properties, which makes sense.

It’s short of like going to your doctor, and you tell him/her that you’re sick and he/she prescribes you medication without asking you questions and properly diagnosing  your ailments.

(At least in my market) You are in a more red leaning state which may have case law that is more landlord friendlyIf the dog is an Emotional Support Animal you can request a doctors note, or a prescription for the dog. 

If you suspect something funny, you can request proof from a doctor, etc.
