I use a paper/Cozy hybrid personally.I prescreen over the phone, have my own hard copy paper applications, and part of process requires them to complete a Cozy background check.If the application AND the Cozy screening check out, I rent to them and offer them the OPTION to use Cozy for payments.Some older folks aren’t as keen on the idea of electronic payment methods and would rather deliver a check the 1st of the month, but most opt to just use Cozy.

Try Quatro Electronics, they have wireless PIR's and use a cellular modem that sends 20 second video clips directley to a central station, it's battery powered too so it's self sustaining with over a 2 year battery life (with alerts when battery gets low)

Older properties also tend to have insufficient outlets for today's electronic lifestyles, so a rewire would be your opportunity to increase the number of receptacles (and circuits) in bedrooms and living rooms .... modern code will require that things like refrigerators and microwaves in the kitchen have independent circuits and that receptacles close to water (kitchen counters and bathrooms) are GFI protected.
