I returned to Charlotte in 2014 following five years of service as a Captain in the Army.

I purchased my first property in Killeen while in the Army in 1989 and the Killeen/Cove market was my focus for many years.  

I was active army for 3 yrs and army national guard for 3 yrs.

If you get past I-77 (roughly 10 -12 minutes north), you get back into some nice areas again (highland creek, mountain island area).The exits 3-4 south of me are doing wonderful (south Mint Hill, Matthews, Indian Trail)I think it would be very hard to invest without being here and seeing the areas for yourself.   

One of them flushed those little green army men toys down all the toilets causing overflow and pipe damage.

(I live just south of Roanoke)And yes, some areas do qualify for USDA loans around there and some back up to army corps land that won’t be developed!
