Good Areas in Georgia
Wondering if anyone has any insight to the rental market in Athens, Macon or Columbus GA? I'm new to investing and not from the area, but these areas look more affordable for me compared to Atlanta. Any help would be appreciated. Looking for buy and hold, hopefully multi-family.

Columbus GA metro population is about 316,000 and is home of the U.S. Army's Fort Benning and Columbus State University. Macon metro area population is nearly 250,000 and located less than 20 miles away from U.S. Air Force Base Warner Robins. The smallest of the 3 would be Athens with a metro population of less than 200,000 with a limited access highway northeast of Atlanta. However, it is home of the Georgia Bulldogs - University of Georgia (UGA). You still need to research the current rental rate comps for these areas. A fun starter tool is www.rentometer.com. Keep up the good work!
