However, the local H/A may put a limit on how much they'll allow for total rent (it's prob close to market since they want to place the voucher recipient in a place).I'd also make sure, if accepted, your tenant gives you the contact of their case-worker.

Some will move to the suburbs but even if 15% of these high income earners were to move elsewhere in the country - that would be a game changer for some of those recipient cities... and it would be good to get ahead of that as investors!

FYI, our local housing authority told us that even with section 8, some 1/3 of Sec 8 recipients STILL wind up evicted for non-payment of rent!

Happens all the time, Trump's a resident of FL along with a lot of other ex-NYC types.Toyota moved all their operations to Houston and Apple, oddly enough, happens to make 98% of their profit in Ireland for tax purposes.You're being naive, people with jobs, skills and money will move, leaving behind those without jobs, skills or money.If you need an example, a lot of OR (income taxes) PERS (pub retirement) recipients move to WA (no income tax) across the river.

It is scary that fraud investigation is more important than educating recipients to the proper use of the loan much less ensuring that applicants are actually in business and should be getting this.
