To gain more knowledge on appraising and helping our business:I'm assuming, based on the main thing we all discuss and learn here on BP which is real estate investing that your business will focus somewhere in investing which always leads to repairs.For the knowledge I'd suggest connecting and maybe working as a painter or handyman, or just an intern/shadow for a General Contractor {they know how much things cost, they know how to negotiate, they know real estate.}

And to top it off:Very little furniture, lots of dump runs, sometime the grass and landscape get neglected for a couple weeks, always sweeping and vacuuming up dust, painters tape stuck to your clothes, joint compound imbedded into your jeans, tools scattered around the house, half a wall is opened, trim isn't done....

.- my painter/drywall guy/cleaner husband/wife team, who charge me the same whether it takes 1, 2, or 3 coats of paint to cover the nasty colors a former landlord allowed- the floor refinishing guy, who has done a good job on 8 or 9 floors this year.
