My real intention on using STR’s is really just because of the tax advantages that can be carried over to my active/earned income when I am finally settled down at an Airline in the future (currently in civilian flight school). 

So thats the other side of the coin.. by the time you find another one you will spend another inspection another apprasial fee another flight more hotel more meals out etc etc..

Was doing some drive byes on a few properties this morning and stopped in on an open house.

And while travel is going to be expensive for any property, if you only have one in a market, the concept is the same with less rent: that $2,000 flight/hotel/rental car food for a one night visit, ties up a lot more of your gross when that gross is much lower. 

From what it looks like it's the same person who responds to your email at 3 in the morning and it appears that this person may be oversees, I could be wrong but that's what it appears to be.
