I would differentiate each place, but I would offer most of the same amenities rather than trying to do complimentary ones.

I also think it is complimentary to to real estate investing but I am very new to the idea of real estate investing so I haven't explored in depth.Personally I max out my Roth 401K so that my gains will grow tax free in the long term (I'm 25 now) and I can hedge against higher tax rates I believe I will see in retirement.

Granted, there's a lot of overlap and complimentary skill sets, but I'd say my first deal took only about 10 hours of work per week max.

I am a fan of finding partners that have complimentary skills to your own.

My opinion would be to have a base colour overall and use a complimentary or contrasting colour to highlight trim (adding some trim - Jim might have some ideas on where and what - will definitively give your building more presence.The entrance looks quite flimsy and cheap so could probably do with some beefing up of the supports to become more welcoming.  

As we see Tesla, Amazon and other companies grow their footprint in Austin it will attract a multitude of other complimentary hi-tech firms :)

Fortunately, you can do both and both are extremely synergistic (I know, tired term worn out 20 years ago) and complimentary.
