It has served me well so far.Exterior paint : $2.00 per finished sqftInterior paint : $1.30 per finished sqftWindows and Doors : $300 eachKitchen : $2500 for 10' cabinets and sinkBathroom : $2500Flooring : $2.50 per finished sqft ( does not matter Carpet,hardwood or laminate)Electrical Panel : $1500Water Heater : $500Furnace : $3500AC : $1500Add up all the major items and then add 25% to the sum to account for miscellaneous expenses.This should give you a good estimate of repairs.If the entire inside of a house needs to be renovated just factor $15-$20 per sqft.Hope this helps.

I have hardwood floors there, so at $8 S/F, it can hurt.Depending on the damage and call me a crazy cheapskate, but you may not need to remove the drywall and trim if you move fast and get fans, dehumidifiers, etc.

So on paper it seems like not much, but it can be 40% of the overall time to complete job, depending on full scope.Assuming you are gutting and starting from scratch, I would outline:- Draw at completion of demo- Flooring installed and covered- Electrical rough in passed- Plumbing rough in passed- Drywall installed, mudded and sanded- Cabinets installed, with any crown and pulls- Counters installed-Backsplash complete (installed, grouted and caulked)- Electrical final inspection passed- Plumbing final passed- Paint- Floors finished (if hardwoods)
