This would only pertain to multi-family with a cap rate.

Though claims are filed through Affinity Claims Management, who acts as an advocate for program participants in the claims process, losses are forwarded to the insurance carriers, who conduct a thorough investigation of the loss as it pertains to the policy language and any applicable provisions.

Written by attorney investors, it's full of practical advice pertaining to management of investment property, has sample forms that can be edited, and - most importantly - they tell you what your primary state laws are and where you can read them.

Technically, if this is your house, or you are listing the unit for rent yourself - without an agent/broker, the fair housing act doesn't pertain to you.

This is very specifically addressed in the law that says that no matter what you call a fee, it shall be considered security deposit money and would then be ruled by all laws pertaining to security deposit amounts, etc., and no security deposit money can be non-refundable.
