Brian, seems to me like it's more of a choice between higher down payments (low down FHA for the whole thing in a duplex/triplex vs. low down FHA condo + 20% investment down payment the other way), and privacy issues.

From a professional perspective, I love the extra fees I can charge for doing LLC tax returns but I only recommend clients use them for one or more of the following reasons:1) multi member ownership 2) substantial personal net worth liability protection 3) valuation discounts for transferring ownership in an estate planning context 4) privacy / identity protection"None of these apply to me except #4 but certainly NOT worth $800/yr not to mention other states fees, tax filing etc.Thanks Ali.

I am not going to enter any more information online with State Farm and will be leaving their services entirely once I find alternative home insurance products.I don't know what other companies are better, but I find it hard to believe than anyone could be worse than State Farm at protecting your privacy and providing an easy online experience.
