I also hold a full time job in Corporate America for the past 12 years, which consumes most of my time, although I do have an exit strategy in place...hopefully very soon.My goal essentially is to network and absorb some of the tremendous knowledge that is shared within this blog.

Sorry to disagree, maybe, if you use your personal name, there is no registration requirement at the state, but that isn't a self proprietorship, that is a business formed that is not incorporated, but held individually.

It can be very time consuming in the beginning stages, but as you learn from others who do this and who have more time in and are successful, then you will learn how to automate your business and incorporate systems that will make your life much easier.
