I have been to RE meetups in the past with like-minded everyday investors pursuing similar goals, sharing stories and learning from each other, running through numbers, sharing network contacts, and even doing deals together.

We're been mostly looking at single families, but that's because we don't have a huge network yet of others interested.

Bigger Pockets is a great place for education and networking. 

Wholesalers network and post deals there most of the time.

Attend in person networking events in your area (there are many in and around Vancouver). 

For larger CapEx jobs, we're fine with a client getting their own quotes, in fact, sometimes this is preferable.  

However, I would encourage you to Network work local real estate clubs in the PA/NJ area to help identify your target market and ideal investment for your first property.
