Obviously new construction since that's the only way you can choose adjacent houses.We want to form a social connection by living next to each other, but don't want to be formally attached such as with an LLC etc.

I would consult with a cross border tax consultant as I am pretty sure that you would get taxed twice if you ever paid yourself out of the LLC.

I do not think she will go quietly and I'm trying to gameplan out process and wanted insight from other investors... when you're about to send someone notice to vacate and don't think it will be a clean process... do you also start the formal eviction process at the same time as you send the 30 day notice to vacate if they're behind on rent?

There are deals in any market, but in my opinion, it's worth exploring Charlotte more-- it has a strong job market (fintech space in particular), a growing population, and it's on the border with South Carolina which is more of a landlord friendly state where you could own property.
