Utah County Pros: Orem is essentially bought up from a raw-land perspective so it's unlikely to be a bubble.

Hello BP Community, I'm curious if anyone is familiar with the ADU or mother in-law apartment laws in Salt Lake City, UT?

However, that isn't the point of the house hack strategy so don't get caught up in the fact that your deal probably won't cashflow and use that as an excuse to not take action.I believe there are two paths of house hacking in UT right now.1.

I'm evaluating deals in the Ogden, UT and Salt LakeCity, UT market.

One idea I have is to start buying and re-selling smaller lots of land in super rural areas of Utah, and using those smaller properties to build up enough money to afford 2+ acres in a more expensive area like Utah County.

So I suspect this all has to do with snow pack in the Rockies and Utah Mountain ranges.
