I notified the tenant that they had 30 days to vacate the property.  10 days prior to the scheduled move out date an ambulance was called to the property and the tenant was taken to the hospital. 

The inspections turned up exactly what you're talking about- rotten roofs, AWOL plumbing, AWOL bathroom fixtures detached garages about to fall in on themselves, basements taking in water, outdated/missing furnaces/water heaters, nightmare rat's nests of outdated electrical wiring....

We also use Google maps to do some preliminary visual evaluation of properties, but we have come to find out that the images are outdated, addresses are wrong, and just not high enough quality to be a dependable research tool.

Buying leads and closing them is pretty outdated but is alive and well in many different forms.With regard to the hard work part of it however, Alec could not have been more right on!

Tiny houses are generation two of attainable housing and they're better in all sorts of ways, but because of the "newness" cities and counties don't know what to do with them and don't understand the psychographic and/or demographic of people who CHOOSE this lifestyle.As a society, we're right on the CUSP of shifting the outdated status quo, and I don't know about you, I believe this is an exciting time to be alive!

From what I have seen, its outdated, terrible paint color on the outside (its s bad shade of yellowish) , and hasnt been improved much.

I'm happy to fix issues myself if it means a better price, but now sellers want premium if they've had to do extensive work, even if the house is outdated cosmetically. 

But eventually I convinced him, and we purchased an outdated but still structurally sound house, and we've been steadily making updates ever since.Lo and behold, 4 years later, we get orders to Vegas, this fall.

I am open to new builds and outdated fixer uppers.
