They could say, "buy 10 more of these this year as it helps annuitize my business" or "introduce me to 5 other investors" or "I would like to earn your resale business" (usually at a full commission).Being an experienced agent in this arena I can tell you the gesture itself holds significant value.However, they could ask for additional compensation on that deal.

I m also lucky in that my dad set up a generous college fund that I never used because I went to a state school....so Ive also got enough down payment for something that might produce some income..I dont have a lot of experience, but I was basically planning on waiting for the market to bottom (or abouts) and then jump in and try to buy, rent, hold and wait for the upswing.
