Don't skimp on the bathrooms or kitchen, that is what sells the house. 

In CRE the value of a property is almost entirely driven by the leases that are in place so it’s not a place where you want to skimp out and try to save a few bucks by not using an attorney.

Would the CEO of one of the big hotels skimp on the wording on the ad that he uses to attract good tenants?

My question to all of you is, what are reasonable terms without over doing it for us or skimping on their generosity as well. 

Skimping on a $600 expense for a 275k ARV house I believe is short-sighted.

Do not skimp on attorneys.

Bottom line: Costs for permitting will most probably be determined within a specific locale, but if you are doing quality work, this is not something you skimp on.I will say that I have read instances where a buyer was held responsible for bringing a conversion/addition up to current code after the seller did the work without a permit.  

There is no cost overrun and no place to skimp on costs.

The difference in having good contracts and skimping or not using by tried and tested agreements will make all the difference in your business so be sure to get your hands on some good ones.

This is one area you shouldn't skimp on.
