Even so, if you are really the one running the business, you are probably doing business in California and liable for the tax.All this being said, you might as well just form a California LLC and save paying the registration to the other (Non-CA) state.

An estate attorney should be addressing this, it depnds on the trust and depending on the registration of the LLC, the trust may be named as a member opening the trail to the trust, so the registration requirement may dictate the plan.I have trusts and LLCs, but they are not formed because I'm as paranoid as most seem to be here.

Okay, look at the Book and Page number of the filing of your last deed to the property and you will generally see the closing agent/title company who notarized the deed, ask the clerk in the Recorder's Office who that notary works with or look them up through the Secretary fo State for notary registrations.
