For the past few years I have put real estate on the back burner cause I thought it was a extra income to my first job.

Like I didn't know I wanted a fat juicy Carl's Jr burger dripping down my face and shirt til I saw the billboard(years ago).

Nothing in their back ground that a nice fat security deposit couldn't solve.But the information you gave is only half the picture, I'd want to know about the property itself, to understand if it would be a good long term fit for the older couple.

Are you really going to weigh a tenant and put them through the humiliation of telling them they're too fat for your house?

I put this deal on the back burner for a little.

I'm definitely interested in anything distressed in the area but I think at this point in the cycle it's the builders who are getting fat and happy. 

Most people would think that taking a big, fat, obscene, unconscionable, UNSUSTAINABLE (blah blah blah) California public pension, and fleeing to the Midwest would be the ultimate golden parachute for a common, blue collar working man like myself.

In the meantime, the oven part of the stove stopped working, the burners still worked.
