@Shawn SheedyIf I understand you correctly it appears you are expecting a property owner to subsidize your rent at a below market rate....which in essence means you'd be digging in their pockets, not the other way around as you have accused.I don't see how the effort to enact laws after the fact changes your current situation.

A smaller paid off portfolio seemed a lot easier to manage so that is the path I was on.. but I've come to the realization if I ever want to accumulate serious wealth I will have to use leverage and scale big.
