I was in a SmartCity's conference the other day (courtesy of my day job) and Atlanta city planners have begun centering all investment infrastructure around North Ave.

Portland has an Early Assistance Program that will allow you to meet with a city planner to determine what options are available to you, I don't remember the cost, but I think it's in the $150.00 range.Hope this helps.

I'm also a Certified Financial Planner (TM).My advice to you is to NOT buy anything in the near future - and also to NOT hire a credit repair company. 

Make sure you get a Qualified retirement account set up, correctly, and get continued support from your attorney, planner and CPA.Good luck!
