I position my inspections as 'planning for future repairs/improvements' which mitigates that whole 'he's here to get my security deposit' mindset.And, I would rather have the tenant with me than to have him later claim that something was broken during the inspection.

Not to mention the economic development steps the town is taking in ensuring the growth of town (roads, schools, zoning) stays on par with the future expected population growth and new jobs that are going to be a result of the new factories opening.  

Also, if you have a below market interest note, if you wanted to sell that note for any reason in the future for liquidity you would be affecting the value of that note negatively.

I was hoping to avoid doing that in the future.

You can probably find info about rents on dubizzle.com, but you will have to dig some more to find the expenses.My prediction for the Dubai market is that it will continue to correct further for the foreseeable future.
