They might have had their fingers burned by an aggressive agent in the past.

Unfortunately there are some who will outright misrepresent your home as being smaller and newer than it actually is to chase the lowest rate.If/when a major claim happens and you don't have enough to rebuild your house it gets ugly fast and all parties point fingers at each other.
