Hi @Donald Howaniec thanks for your reply, we had hired an inspector, he didn't say anything like "permit" , we started thinking about added toilet/restroom then I came to know about permit things, there is already a room in basement, I have doubt they pulled permit for it, because it's made in very temporary way. so now I am started thinking when inspector will come for toilet inspection, can he raise question on room, if he raise question on room then previous owner will be responsible or us?

If you get an acceptable place (doesn't have to be the best place you have lived in... its temporary!)

Instead lot's of landlords will give a temporary rent reduction with a baseline sales number once hit the tenant will pay additional rent.

You can give a repair person the code and change it later or have the tenant set a temporary code for the repair person to use.

Out of money or out of deals is a common occurrence, but these are only temporary speed bumps. 

Find a temporary place to live.

A question you may want to ask yourself is how long are you welcome at your in-laws are they expecting temporary? 

As you say, the business may be only temporary.
