If you have a general idea of where you want to start I would encourage you to begin reading through all the blogs pertaining to that area and also search the forums for more specific information.

This is how I usually proceed....I would have my title guy check to ensure it has a clean unencumbered title.Check for any code violations with the Building Inspector esp any pertaining to lead based paint encapsulation.
