If you get judgement in your favor then it's off to collections, they take % if they decide it's worth it. but you might see some money down the line if your lucky.

An eviction itself won't post to a credit bureau report but a collection (if you turn over the unpaid rent to an agency) or a judgement certainly will result in a big hit to their credit score.
