The only problem is, around here, my options are pretty slim.

I understand that maybe your buyers did want to go through the purchase, but decided that this was not a pill they were willing to swallow.

You can use the traditional providers that do lists for real estate agents like Expired and FSBOs, which in my market are slim and none right now. 

BUT, if they are properties that are struggling to stay occupied, cash flow is slim, in a location with not much growth potential, then maybe you should consider liquidating them. 

I will definitely get started in getting educated before getting my feet wet, and will keep my business plan slim and concise. 

The margin was slim and risk was high, although repairs were essentially cosmetic.

What that means in short, if there was a termite issue, the likelihood of your insurance carrier paying out on that claim could be slim to none; however, stranger things have happened, and all policies can (and do) tend to vary - carrier to carrier.Good luck with the property, Anthony.
