Ask them to describe a situation where there was a "crisis" and how they handled it.

Growth here didn't go gangbusters, so there is still a short window of opportunity left to pick up the final vintages from the foreclosure crisis. some neighborhoods have already heated up, but to give you an example,i just passed on a deal in an A hood with a golf course that was going to cash flow.

Hello,I have been lurking on the forum mainly reading whats going down in the USA and how the financial crisis is unfolding.

Thinking back to the housing crisis in 2008, although all markets were effected someway, the markets that were effected the most were the coastal markets due to there cyclical nature.

It seem there is a crisis.

Military markets like here in Fayetteville offer insulation from economic crisis with solid rental clientele.  

Since the foreclosure crisis courts have been much more permissive toward direct property preservation activities that certainly look like ownership.

Just as you said, their is an economic boom and they see the USA housing crisis as a good investment.

In Memphis, I don't feel that tenants in "B" and "C" markets are used to rent increases, and most realize that they can shop around and find plenty of reasonably priced alternatives.It was amazing when I lived in Washginton, DC and rent increases slowed due to the crisis/lots of high-end inventory coming online.
