I think simply letting him know you're aware of his drug use and erratic behavior and that unless he vacates peaceably you'll take legal action will be enough to take care of things, especially if he's a young college kid.

So I use this clause to make it clear that kind of behavior is not acceptable, then in the future as I was taught I can mail a copy of this clause from the lease THEY signed and ask them to cure the infraction.
