Briefly, 35F, married to 33M, both ER physicians.

Despite being a high income earning physician, the bank is requiring that I have one additional investor to act as a limited guarantor for half the loan.

A short bit about us is that I am a physician early in my training and my wife is a teacher and we are looking to offset the cost of living via house hacking.

I'm an Emergency Medicine physician in the Bay Area a few years out of residency training (still paying off loans). 

That is a mind blowing amount of student loan debt - about the only career I can think of that would get close to that (wife used to do debt consolidation sales, has a lot of amazing stories) is a doctor / physician?

We are planning a standard 20% down loan, but have also thought about using a physician loan, or fha 203k if we find something that we could force some equity through repairs/updates.

My wife just recently got into Dental School in Florida, and I was wondering if anyone here knew anything about her being able to get some type of physician’s loan of some sort.
