Lots of restaurants, decent sized, and historic downtown area. 

Location wise, it was close to the freeway and could walk to stores and restaurants but the negative factors outweighed the positive. 

Close to schools and restaurants. 

I have a property I own with 2 commercial units on it (A Subway restaurant, which I own, and a dance studio).

Also, the closer you are to commercial (restaurants, bars, etc.) crime would be higher.

Olympic sized pool, hot tubs, on-site restaurant, yoga, pilates, gym, steam, sauna, and management company to take care of it all.

Area has mix of older retail strips, motels, banks, gas stations, some QSR, a few independent restaurants, services (barber shops, etc.), and retail, warehouses, factories, and a business incubator for entrepreneurs. 

I own a multi-use building on main street in Mount Vernon, Iowa, 2 story with retail on first floor (restaurant) and two apartments upstairs. 

I am not sure as I have not done business in Fort Lauderdale but I assume he talking about licensing with the state DBPR - division of hotels and restaurants. 

My parents have seller financed a free and clear property they operated as a fine dining restaurant in late 1990s, then transferred as a neighborhood bar.
