I've actually pulled the plug on investing to focus on our general contracting business because investing was more of a distraction.  

Further, not only did I learn numerous concepts, techniques, strategies, principles, etc that I used in my business career, but I still do so today.  

I personally used business credit cards to BRRRR a deal—no money came out of my pocket.

Sights are set on all types of REI, but this will be a great start for us.I have been in the mortgage business for over 20 years.

The liability coverage is way better, the building coverage is often better, and commercial policies typically cover loss of business income as well, which a homeowners policy isn't going to help you with.California + wildfire area + STR is super tough.
