Good commercial Bank / Bankers are I believe critical aspects of our business I know mine for sure kept me upright during the GFC.

It's always best to have a conversation with a Banker before you pay down or off anything just in case to make sure it will not be wasted money or hurt the Fico scores.

I recently talked to a colleague who is a banker and we were chatting about my interest with real estate.

I would make my 1st 3 phone calls (yes, calls not texts or emails) to 3 experienced mortgage bankers or brokers (at least), to see what my financing situation would be.  

I was a lender/banker that, after a long career on consumer mortgage and then commercial banking/lending, went to work for a community bank in Florida that was operating under a "memorandum of understanding" with regulators.

my banker and I had lunch yesterday and thats what we were discussing commercial has ground to a halt because of rates. 

We talked to some people (banker, pm, etc) about a weekly rental property but seems it would make more sense if you wanted to use the place yourself and not too concerned with making money.
