A banks willingness to sell/assign their interest can be encouraged if the bank has reason to believe that their attempt to foreclose would be met with knowledgeable resistance and/or repeated delays.  

Unless you have done a project like this, I think you would experience some resistance from lenders.

I do understand the need for affordable housing in Duluth, but I'm amazed at the resistance to STRs in Duluth since its economy is so driven by tourism.

However there is a culture that exists within our industry that is predicated on the path of least resistance in order to get a commission from a new investor trying to get into their first property.

If you need a spigot there then replace it with one that is designed to be vandal resistant.

I guess a large part of my reluctance is simply that I know how much easier it used to be and I'm resisting jumping through all the hoops now.Is it likely to be worth the effort?
