He just texted me and said he’s been cleared to go back to work but that his wife has had to stay home with the kids (not sure why both of them had to be home, but trying not to be suspicious).He mentioned in his text that “money is tight right now for sure”.

As @Brandon Turner's book highlights, you want to look out for any suspicious answers during that initial conversation - i.e. someone who needs to move "ASAP" and seems to be in a hurry could be someone who is running from their current situation.

He is also very suspicious... parks very large vans (about 4 to 6 at a time) in front of his property and on his driveway to cover the house, has cameras everywhere, is hanging cloths from his patio cover so no one can see the inside of the house, etc.
