If something is stolen and the seller tries to go after you, it would be pretty easy to argue that the guy gave you the keys without knowing you so he probably did that with other people too.  

It would have saved us about $2k in stolen tools as well as time lost dealing with cops and replacement tools.Buy the system once and reuse it- that is a no-brainer.  

We have given USAA everything they've asked for including all paperwork, police reports, contractor's estimates and other supporting documentation (e.g. ownership of stolen appliances).

You also have to worry about the tenants personal items being swiped, or, a tenant at least suspecting that a missing item was stolen by the handyman or plumber, even if it wasn't.It can be a real pain.
